Biography of Loren Chabot

Loren spent his youth studying art. His family fostered this by sending him to the Shepy School of Fine Art at the age of 6. He studied there for 12 years, mastering the techniques of drawing, pastels, watercolors, sculpture, and oil painting, eventually becoming the youngest instructor in the history of the school.

He went to the University of Alberta and earned his Masters Degree in Microbiology & Genetics. He did graduate studies in English, History, Psychology, and Molecular Biology.

While pursuing his academic studies, he moonlighted as an artist. He designed and constructed theater sets for French Theater, worked on portrait commissions, and participated in group exhibitions. In 2002, he also graduated from Sheridan College (Disney Animators) with a diploma in Classical & Computer Animation. Loren has traveled widely with his art. He has had shows in New York, Atlanta, Kentucky, Toronto, Ottawa, and throughout Ontario.

In June of 2010, Loren passed away after a 4-year battle with Cancer.
